Taking to the streets of Durban to create awareness on human trafficking was a team from LexisNexis in commemoration of the company’s annual Cares Day – an initiative supporting employee and corporate engagement that makes a positive impact on society through volunteerism and giving.
This year, Cares Day was celebrated with a week-long programme from 16 to 20 October 2017 in collaboration with an international delegation from the LexisNexis parent company, the RELX Group.
The delegation consisted of employees who were winners of the 2017 Recognising Those Who Care awards from around the world.
Together with the Durban team, they participated in volunteering activities at several local organisations including Domino Foundation, Mlaba Village and iThemba.
They also visited the Open Door Crisis Care Centre and prepared meals for people living in Mlaba Village.
