Today, for the first time, three DA NCOP members were elected as Chairpersons of Select Committees in the National Council of Provinces.

We have the utmost confidence that these members will channel their expertise to perform their oversight roles beyond reproach, to ensure the smooth running of Select Committees.

The elected representatives are:

Committee Chairperson on Public Petitions and Executive Undertakings

Ofentse Mokae

Committee Chairperson on Economic Development and Trade

Sonja Boshoff

Committee Chairperson on Public Infrastructure and Minister in the Presidency

Rikus Badenhorst

Our representatives will uphold the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and service to the people of South Africa.
