The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) is the regulatory authority established in terms of the National Energy Regulator Act, 2004 (Act No. 40 of 2004) with the mandate to undertake the functions of the Gas Regulator as set out in the Gas Act, (Act No. 48 of 2001); the Petroleum Pipelines Regulator as set out in the Petroleum Pipelines Act, 2003 (Act No. 60 of 2003); and the Electricity Regulator as
