MEC MASHATILE TO HANDOVER 200 UNIFORMS TO NEEDY LEARNERS

Gauteng Cooperative Governance, Traditional Affairs and Human Settlements MEC, Paul Mashatile will Handover School uniforms to 200 learners from poor communities in Soshanguve tomorrow morning as part of the provincial government’s back to school  programme.

For his back to school programme, MEC Mashatile will spend time with learners, teachers and school governing body members of Soshanguve East Secondary school and Mathaga Primary school before he holds a community meeting in the area on the status of education and other service delivery matters.

The MEC will use the visit to verify delivery of learner support material to all schools, attendance of teachers, and completion of learner admission and to ensure that teaching starts as planned by the schools and the department.

After his visit, MEC Mashatile will submit a report to the Premier about the status of the infrastructure, availability of teachers, and state of readiness for future schools in all the schools he will visit tomorrow in order for the provincial government to respond to the challenges and issues raised by stakeholders.
