MEC Dumisile Nhlengethwa to roll sleeves in honour of Nelson Mandela

As the whole country prepares various activities for Mandela day, a day celebrated globally in honour of the freedom fighter stalwart Former President Nelson Mandela, MEC for Mpumalanga Department of Public Works Roads and Transport, Dumisile Nhlengethwa together with the Executive Mayor of Msukaligwa, Cllr John Bongwe will, as part of a month long programme patch potholes at P26/4 between Ermelo and Breyten in Msukalingwa Local Municipality on the 17th July 2014.

The department has designed a month long programme wherein the MEC will be joined by various stakeholders that includes the media, municipalities, business people as well as employees. The Department within the various districts will embark on a series of community service delivery projects which includes amongst others cutting of grasses; patching potholes; renovating community centres and grading the streets; donating food parcels and clothes. 


Important aspect of this month long programme, is mainly to assist Municipalities in distress by patching potholes on municipal streets.

Members of the media are therefore invited to join the Department during the event as scheduled as follows.
