Grenada Introduces New Trade Mark Legislation

The Trademarks Act of 2012 has now come into effect and replaces the Registration of United Kingdom Trade Marks Act Cap 284 of 1939. Under the new Act the UK-based system has been abolished, and there is only provision for independent registration. However, under the transitional provisions existing UK-based registrations shall continue to have effect as if registered under the new Act.

Please visit our website for trade mark filing requirements throughout the Caribbean.
