Committee to be briefed on vision for National Heritage Monument

15th October 2013 By: Motshabi Hoaeane

The Portfolio Committee on Arts and Culture will receive a briefing on the project overview and vision for the National Heritage Monument (NHM). The NHM, which falls under the custodianship of the Department of Arts and Culture, was conceived as a multi-use location celebrating South Africa’s struggle for democracy.

The briefing, to be delivered by the CEO: National Heritage Project Company, Mr Dali Tambo, will also highlight progress already made in establishing the monument. The Committee will, following the NHM briefing, also receive a briefing from the Department on its 2012/2013 annual report.
