97 Western Cape roads reopened following floods

The Western Cape Government has repaired and reopened an impressive 97 roads since the September floods that devastated large parts of the Western Cape.  So far, over R86 million has been spent on repairing/reopening these roads.

The Western Cape Government has to date done a tremendous job in ensuring that our beautiful roads get repaired as quickly as possible and that people in the province can commute freely and unhindered, despite the National Government not paying over any disaster funding, as a result of disastrous budget cuts.

While the Western Cape Government reopens and rebuilds roads that were completely washed away, Gauteng under the leadership of the ANC, has become the capital of potholes.

The DA-run Western Cape Government will continue investing in Infrastructure, to unlock substantial economic growth and foster job creation within the province.
