President Jacob Zuma on Sunday appointed former deputy Auditor General (AG) Thembekile Makwetu as AG for a period of seven years.
Makwetu, who is a chartered accountant by profession and who had served as deputy AG for six years, succeeded Terence Nombembe, who ended his term as AG in November.
