In the 2020 awards, Webber Wentzel walked away with three wins and five “highly commended” honours.
Some of the categories in which the firm has been shortlisted include African Law Firm of the Year – Large Practice; Banking and Finance Team of the Year; Best Use of Technology; Crisis Management Initiative of the Year; and CSR, Diversity, Transformation and Economic Empowerment Award.
Several of our professionals have also been shortlisted based on their leadership, legal skills, initiative, client relationship skills and contribution to the wider community: Khurshid Fazel (Partner of the Year): Riyaad Cruywagen (Partner of the Year): Karl Blom (Private Practice Rising Star); and Prianka Soni (Private Practice Most Promising Newcomer).
The virtual awards ceremony will take place on 3 September 2021. African Legal Awards 2021 are hosted by Law.com International and partnered with the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa. They recognise excellence and innovation in Africa’s legal profession.
