Sunday, 10 April 2022 will mark the 29th year since the assassins, who assassinated SACP General Secretary Chris Hani, carried out their coldblooded deed on 10 April 1993, stealing his life.
Twenty-nine years later, there has been no full disclosure of the truth.
Consequently, there has been no closure for the Hani family, the SACP and all democratic motive forces that waged the struggle for democracy and social emancipation in South Africa, who want full disclosure of the truth and the circumstances surrounding the assassination.
Thus, justice has not taken its course.
Because of that, we move into the 29th Chris Hani Annual Commemoration with a gaping wound that is still bleeding.
The Hani family, the SACP and the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, whose Council passed resolutions honouring Chris Hani for his contribution in the South African struggle for liberation and social emancipation, joined by SACP Alliance partners and members of the public, will hold the Commemoration Ceremony.

Venue: Thomas Titus Nkobi Memorial Park, also known as South Park Cemetery, Boksburg, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.
Dr Blade Nzimande, the SACP General Secretary and representatives of the Hani family, Ekurhuleni Metro and SACP Alliance partners will address the event.
