The South African Local Government Association (SALGA) will on the occasion of its regular National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, which is taking place from 21-22 September 2022 in George, interact and engage directly with the Western Cape municipalities on various challenges currently confronting local government, as well as reflect on the best practices in the province that can be replicated across other municipalities to improve the sector and accelerate service delivery.

The session will see SALGA leadership interact with municipalities in the province and attend to pressing matters that need urgent attention. The engagements are a result of the NEC’s decision to intensify regular interaction between SALGA and its member municipalities in a bid to resolve various pertinent local government concerns.
