The South African Communist Party Gauteng Province will hold a march to National Treasury as part of its Financial Sector Campaign (FSC) and the fight against corporate capture of the state, corruption and parasitic looting of the state.

The march will also defend our country against being reduced to a neo-colonial playground of capitalist interests such us the Guptas, Ruperts, Allan Grey and Oppenheimers.

A memorandum of demands will be handed over to a new Finance Minister, Malusi Gigaba. This will also include:

• Defend national sovereignty and sound financial institutions against corporate capture by parasitic and corrupt networks.

• Create an effective, efficient and sound Post Bank to take over the payment of social grants in line with the Constitutional Court decision. Included in that will be to defend Post Bank as a public institution without the encroaching interests of so-called private equity partners merely intended to loot social grants.
• Investigations on all allegedly corrupt transactions as identified by the Public Protector’s report.
• Defend State Owned Enterprises (SEO’s) against rampant looting, corruption and naked self-interests.
