The South African Communist Party invites the South African and international media to register for access to and coverage of the 14th Congress of the Party. South African media practitioners are requested to bring their national Identity Documents/Cards and Media Cards. International media practitioners are requested to bring their travel documents - Passports and Media Cards.

The registration date and venue are as follows.

Date: ‎Sunday, 4 June 2017

Time: Registration will open at 9:00a‎m

Venue: SACP Headquarters, COSATU House 4th‎ Floor (110 Jorisen Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg).‎

This venue is next to the venue of the last  ordinary session of the 13th SACP Congress Central Committee, its photo op and post-meeting press briefing to take place as follows.

‎The SACP will be holding the last ordinary session of its 13th Congress Central Committee elected in July 2012 for a five year term of office until July 2017. The meeting will take place from Friday to Sunday 2-4 June 2017.

The SACP invites the media to a photo op and a post-meeting press briefing to be held as follows:

Press briefing: Sunday, 4 June 2017, 13h00

Venue: Protea Hotel Parktonian, 120 De Korte Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

The Central Committee will receive Political Bureau and Secretariat political and organisational reports, decide the way forward and finalise preparations for the 14th Party Congress scheduled to take place ‎10-15 July 2017 in Tshwane.
