The Leader of the opposition, Mr Mmusi Maimane Mo, ("Mr Maimane") and the Deputy President of the EFF, Mr Floyd Shivambu MP ("Mr Shivambu"), laid complaints against the President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa ("the President") with the Public Protector.
Their complaints arose from the President's response in the National Assembly on 6 November 2018, to an allegation by Mr Maimane that he had proof that Bosasa had paid an amount of R500 000, 00 into a bank account of the President's son, Mr Andile Ramaphosa.
