In his capacity as Special Envoy to South Sudan, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is in Arusha, Tanzania, for unity talks among members and leaders of Sudan's People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).
The Deputy President is representing President Jacob Zuma, who is attending the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“During the visit, Deputy President Ramaphosa will participate and bear witness to the signing of a unity agreement between different sections of the SPLM,” Ramaphosa’s spokesperson, Ronnie Mamoepa, said.
The unity agreement was facilitated by the South Africa’s ruling African National Congress, Chama-cha Mapinduzi of Tanzania and National Resistance Movement of Uganda.
