President Cyril Ramaphosa will no longer appear before the State Capture Commission of Inquiry on May 31 and June 1.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Presidency said it agreed to a request from the commission to postpone the President’s appearance to a later date.
Ramaphosa was expected to appear as the commission’s last oral witness, in his capacity as President of South Africa and as Deputy President during former President Jacob Zuma’s tenure.
New dates for Ramaphosa's testimony have not yet been confirmed.
