The Public Servants Association (PSA) has noted with dismay utterances by Lufuno Mulaudzi in a radio interview with PhalaPhala FM on 13 August 2024.
Dr Mulaudzi deliberately mislead the presenter and the public by stating that he is the current President of the PSA and failed to confirm that he resigned from this position on 7 March 2023. He also ended his membership of the PSA on the same date.
The current PSA President, elected by the Union’s Congress on 18 September 2023, is Mr Matimba Justice Shiburi. The PSA would like to present the true facts in this regard.
The PSA currently has a court interdict in place against Dr Mulaudzi as a disgruntled member of the public, purporting to be the PSA President. The PSA will be enforcing the court order in that Dr Mulaudzi is in contempt of the court order and a warrant of arrest will be executed by the South African Police Service as the protection order is in force until 14 February 2029.
