President Zuma appoints new commissioners

President Jacob Zuma has appointed Dr Vincent Maphai and Elizabeth Maepa as additional members of the Commission of Inquiry into the Remuneration and Conditions of Service in the Public Service and Public Entities.

The Presidency on Thursday announced that Maphai and Maepa will form part of the Commission, which is listed in Schedule 3A and 3C of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999.

“The President appointed the Commission in August 2013, and had first announced it in the State of the Nation Address (SONA) of February 2013,” the Presidency said.

The Commission is chaired by former Chief Justice Sandile Ngcobo.
