The Pan-African Parliament (PAP) today was shocked with the news of the untimely death of its former President Hon. Moussa Idriss Ndélé, who perished in a motor vehicle accident in the capital city of his native Chad yesterday evening. His wife, who was with him at the time, survived the accident but remains in a critical condition.
Hon. Ndélé was the second President of the PAP from May 2009 up to May 2012 after Hon. Gertrude Mongella, and was succeeded by the current President, Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka Amadi.
Hon. Ndélé, who was sixty (60) years old, was a dental surgeon by profession and an activist in the area of family planning.
The President of the Republic of Chad, H.E. Idriss Deby Itno has declared three days of national mourning.
