Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) is finding it difficult to come to terms with the shocking departure of the great Johann Botha. We have just buried Mandla Hlatswayo (radio personality) few days ago who was also shot in a crime incident.

The manner in which the 50/50 talented presenter, Botha, was killed is evil and should never happen to any human being. It is clear that crime has elevated.

We urge Fikile Mbalula and his department to decrease media conferences and tweeting and begin to act against crime in this country. He should be told that crime is not joke as he may think now. Our societies have lost confidence in the police and it is up to Mbalula to ensure that they regain those lost grounds.

Our people are losing their lives unnecessarily while our police officials are politicking on the other hand. We need an effective policing that will ensure our property and people are at all material times safeguarded. The figure of people who are killed is competing with those in war-torn countries such as Syria, Iraq.
