The former Agriculture and Rural Development MEC, Boitumelo Tshwene will be accorded a Special Provincial Official funeral. President Jacob Zuma has also ordered that the National flag be flown at half-mast at every flag station in the Province on the day of his funeral service.
Premier Mahumapelo who had sent a request to the President for Tshwene to be accorded a Special Provincial Official funeral as a distinguished person, said the deceased’s contribution in the development of our people was immense, adding that he performed all the responsibilities given to him by the provincial government with due diligence and loyalty.
Tshwene who died on Sunday morning after collapsing at his home, will be laid to rest on Sunday, 18 October at Klerksdorp.
The funeral service will be held at the Klerksdorp Auditorium starting at 7h00.
