Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced the return of Donald Dinnie, a renowned insurance lawyer, to its Johannesburg office. Dinnie has an impressive reputation in the insurance sector for his depth of experience in a range of contentious disputes. He is particularly well regarded for his work in reinsurance and insurance.

Dinnie commented: “I am very pleased to again be part of the great team of insurance lawyers at Norton Rose Fulbright, and to be able to play a role in Norton Rose Fulbright’s long standing and significant contribution to and support of the South African and rest of Africa insurance communities and beyond.”

Craig Woolley, head of Insurance at Norton Rose Fulbright in South Africa, commented: “We are delighted to have Donald back. His stint as CEO of Norton Rose Fulbright and his experience in commerce has given him a fresh insight as to what clients are looking for, particularly in the difficult market conditions facing insurers at the moment. His enthusiasm and experience as well as his ability to mentor junior attorneys will ensure we remain one of the top insurance law firms in the country”

Marelise van der Westhuizen, CEO at Norton Rose Fulbright in South Africa, commented: “Norton Rose Fulbright continues to adapt to meet our clients’ changing needs, technological disruption, and what remains a challenging South African and global economy.
