Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced the return of Matthew Ash, a projects, energy and infrastructure lawyer who re-joins its Cape Town office as director.

Ash commented: “I am delighted to re-join Norton Rose Fulbright, as the firm is exceptionally well-positioned to assist clients in leveraging the extensive opportunities in the energy and infrastructure space. I look forward to contributing to the success of the Norton Rose Fulbright projects team, domestically and globally, with a focus on the Sub-Saharan African region.”

Jackie Midlane, Head of Banking & Finance and Projects at Norton Rose Fulbright in South Africa, commented:
“We are delighted to have someone of Matt’s calibre back on-board as we look to deliver on more projects that shift the dial in terms of energy generation across the continent. His re-appointment is aligned to our strategy to remain the pre-eminent projects and energy legal team in the country and across the continent.”

Lizel Oberholzer, Head of Energy at Norton Rose Fulbright in South Africa, commented: “Matt re-joins us at an exciting time for the industry when there is a great need for new energy generation. This is a welcome return for our firm and its clients.”
