Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has today announced its first global partner promotions since entering the US market in June 2013. A total of 46 partner promotions are being made throughout the 2014 calendar year, including eight promotions to the South African equivalent of director.
Female partners account for a significant percentage of all global promotions (20 out of 46 promotions, or 43 per cent).
The promotions are being made across all eight of the practice’s global practice groups; corporate, M&A and securities (17); dispute resolution and litigation (10); banking and finance (9); intellectual property (4); antitrust and competition (2); employment and labour (2); real estate (1) and tax (1).
Peter Martyr, global chief executive, Norton Rose Fulbright, commented:
“We continue to grow globally and I am pleased to welcome the new partners and directors who will play a key role in meeting the needs of our clients around the world. These are our first promotions in the United States following our US combination last year. We have also made a number of promotions in Latin America, which is consistent with the announcement of our Rio de Janeiro office in 2014.”
