I welcome today's eNCA/MarkData poll showing the DA ahead of the ANC in both Ekurhuleni and Nelson Mandela Bay. These findings track closely with the DA's own internal polling, which now places us as the largest party in five metros. In both eThekwini and Mangaung, the DA is within the margin of error of taking the lead.

With just over three weeks until election day, the DA is on the rise, the ANC is in decline, and South Africans are ready for change.

Across the country, more and more South Africans are putting their trust in the DA to stop the chaos and start delivering. We welcome their growing support, and we will not let them down.

But polls just set out the potential. To make that potential real, and bring change to all of those cities, we call on every DA supporter to turn out on Election Day and vote DA.

The only way to stop coalition chaos and get local government working is to vote DA on 4 November.

South Africans recognise that the DA is on their side. We are on the side of the poor family that needs reliable water, electricity and basic services. We are on the side of the entrepreneur who wants to build a business and create jobs. We are on the side of every South African who wants safer streets, cleaner communities and a better future for their children.

South Africans are increasingly judging political parties by what they deliver, not what they promise. And on that test, the DA stands apart. We have a record of delivery, a plan to get the basics right, and a proven ability to lead governments that work.

The ANC's declining support is a verdict on decades of broken promises, corruption and municipal collapse. But this election is about more than rejecting failure. South Africans are recognising that only the DA is big enough to defeat the ANC, and only the DA has the national footprint, experience and track record to lead a credible alternative government.

These polls are encouraging, but the races in all metros remain exceptionally close. That is why every vote matters. On 4 November, South Africans have an opportunity to turn this growing momentum into new DA-led governments in municipalities across our country.

South Africans do not have to accept decline as their destiny. We can fix what is broken. We can build communities that are safer, cleaner and better run. And together, we can build a South Africa that works – for everyone.

Don't just hope for change. Vote for change on 4 November.
