Today, 26 October 2021, DA Mayoral Candidate for Johannesburg, Cllr Mpho Phalatse will make an important announcement regarding the future of the e-Tolls system.

For close to a decade, e-Tolls has placed an unjustified financial burden on the residents of Gauteng. The DA has always stood against the system and has consistently called for its total scrapping.

Both the ANC provincial and national government have been providing empty promises on the future of e-Tolls since before the 2014 general elections, yet no final decision has ever materialised.

Cllr Phalatse will be joined by DA Gauteng Provincial Leader, Solly Msimanga MPL, and DA Gauteng Shadow MEC for Transport, Fred Nel MPL.
