Members of the media are invited to a hand-over ceremony of an aquaculture project in Gariep by the Chinese Embassy in South Africa to the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF).
The ceremony will be officiated by DAFF Minister Senzeni Zokwana with the signing of the hand-over certificate of the project, followed by a media tour.
The project knows as the China-South Africa Aquaculture Technology Demonstration Centre- Aquaculture (ATDC), located Gariep in Free State is an ongoing partnership with the People’s Republic of China, the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Free State Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, aimed at boosting aquaculture farming in the province.
