The Minister of Police, Mr. Fikile Mbalula will this Friday host a Ministerial Imbizo with the community of Soshanguve in Tshwane. The Minister plans to interact with the community, police stakeholders and the South African Police Service (SAPS) in the fight against crime and building community partnerships. This will be Minister’s second Ministerial Imbizo following the one hosted at Mfuleni in Cape Town last Friday.
Minister Fikile Mbalula believes communities play a vital role in boosting the morale of the police, inspiring confidence in society about the fight against crime and instilling fear on criminals.
There are planned crime prevention operations that will take place from the early hours of Friday up until the hosting of the Imbizo.
The Minister will be at Soshanguve Police Station from 06:30am in the morning for the days' operations. At 07:00, the Minister will address SAPS members at a parade.
The other operations will be shared with the media in due course at Soshanguve Police Station.
The Minister will host the Ministerial Imbizo as follows:
