The Minister of Telecommunications & Postal Services, Dr Siyabonga Cwele will lead the ICT Sector in celebrating World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) at Mphethi Mahlatse Senior Secondary School in Orange Farm, Free State.
The Minister, joined by the Department’s State Owned Companies and members of the South African Communications Forum (SACF), will provide the school with access to the internet as well as satellite television installation. In addition, winners of the essay competition on this year’s WTISD theme, “broadband for sustainable development” will also receive satellite television installations at their homes.
Participating ICT sector companies will also enact a career exhibition which seeks to showcase the multitude of career opportunities available within the ICT Sector. Mphethi Mahlatse is one of the top performing schools in the circuit.
