LexisNexis South Africa (LNSA) has appointed Nischal Harisunkar as Strategy Executive – a newly created role designed to ensure the company’s success as a data-driven organisation, delivering innovative customer-centric solutions.

Harisunkar most recently led a strategy and transformation team at a large South African teleco, leading the implementation of the digital transformation and advanced analytics agenda across 19 Operating Countries.

His new appointment is regarded as an important step in ensuring LexisNexis South Africa continues to leverage data and data analytics and remains at the cutting edge of industry disruptions and opportunities.

LexisNexis CEO and Chairperson of the Board, Videsha Proothveerajh, said, “We are extremely proud to have such astounding talent join the LexisNexis fold. Nischal will be integral in our efforts to ensure that we craft and execute on a strategy that covers people, technology, process and organisation as a whole. A strategy and digital transformation executive with a background in management consulting, Harisunkar has over twenty years’ experience across a multitude of industries, helping executive teams to solve challenges and deliver on their strategic priorities.

His qualifications include an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Henley Business School in the UK. He has also completed an Executive Development Programme through New York University (NYU).

Of his appointment he says, “I am looking forward to drawing upon my expertise to drive commercial excellence through design, planning and implementation of commercial processes and strategic initiatives, helping LexisNexis South Africa to maximise top- and bottom-line results.”
