Kigali International Financial Centre (KIFC) held its first event in South Africa, themed: “Kigali International Financial Centre: transforming Rwanda into an international financial hub" on Wednesday 31 August at The Leonardo in Sandton.
This event was organized in collaboration with global law firm Webber Wentzel, showcasing the journey in transforming Rwanda into an attractive Pan-African hub for cross-border investments and transactions.
“Africa’s private sector is key in growing our economies and there is a need for more financial centres in Africa to facilitate cross-border investments,” said Ntoudi Mouyelo, CIO of Rwanda Finance Limited. “South African investors venturing into sub-Saharan Africa can now use the KIFC in Rwanda, which offers ease of operations with no foreign exchange restrictions.”
