In part two of Polity's interview with Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu, he speaks to us as an African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee member, where he says the party needs to change its image and deal with corruption.
He admits to some of the party's shortcomings and also talks about the step-aside policy, changing the ANC's image and fighting corruption.
He admits that the ANC, as the governing party, is not delivering on frontline services such as water, sanitation, housing and roads. The ANC needs to sharpen its focus, he says.
He says MECs and Ministers need to be monitored on their performance as many people in government are "cruising".
