Yesterday evening, the Helen Suzman Foundation’s Justice Project was recognised for its excellence at the 2018 Gauteng Premier Service Excellence Awards. The award was received at a vibrant ceremony hosted by the Premier of Gauteng, Mr David Makhura, in Pretoria.
The Integrity Award in the Clean Governance Category recognises an individual or organisation whose work serves to reduce unethical behaviour in the Province by combating corruption, especially through promoting transparency and accountability. Projects considered for this category must meet criteria such as being likely to attract interest and emulation in other parts of the country, and which are particularly courageous, innovative or creative and deserving of recognition. The HSF’s Justice Project was recognised for its contribution in fighting corruption.
The Silver prize which was awarded to the HSF includes an honorarium donated by PwC.
This is an important and public recognition of our work, which includes our litigation over the past eight years.
