The National Council of Provinces (NCOP), led by the Chairperson, Mr Amos Masondo, will convene its flagship oversight programme, Taking Parliament to the People (TPTTP) in the Ugu District Municipality in Kwazulu-Natal from Monday, 14 November, to Friday, 18 November 2022, under the theme “Working together to ensure faster improvement in the delivery of services to communities”. 
 
The TPTTP programme consists of a combination of public hearings and visits to identified sites, and will culminate with the Annual Address by the President at an NCOP sitting to be held at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre on Friday at 10 am.
 
During the programme, delegates consisting of members of Parliament, KZN Provincial Legislature, and local Municipalities will visit various sites and conduct public meetings, where members of the public are given the opportunity to draw the executive’s attention to challenges they experience with regards to service delivery. Ministers, MECs and MMCs are also given an opportunity to respond to issues raised by the public.
 
Meanwhile, Deputy President David Mabuza will appear before the National Assembly for a Questions for Oral Reply session during a hybrid plenary on Thursday at 2 pm. The plenary will be preceded by the Programming Committee meeting at 8.30, and members’ training on E-disclosure at 11 am.
 
On Tuesday between 11 am and 1.30 pm, members of the National Assembly (NA) will undergo a Member’s Training programme on E-Disclosure. The training will precede a hybrid plenary at 2 pm to consider several Budgetary Review and Recommendation reports.
 
On Wednesday at 2 pm, the Economics Cluster ministers will appear before the NA hybrid sitting for questions for oral reply session. Cluster 4 comprises of ministers responsible for Public Enterprises, Tourism, Public Works and Infrastructure, and Trade and Industry.
 
In the same sitting, the house will also debate and consider a report of the Standing Committee on Appropriations on Division of Revenue Amendment Bill.
 
On the international front, the NA Chairperson of Committees, Mr Cedric Frolick is leading a Parliamentary delegation to the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP27), currently taking place until 18 November in Sharm el_Sheikh, Egypt.
