The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) in collaboration with  the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and the South African Special Risk Insurance Association (SASRIA), will host the economic recovery support interventions webinar:

The purpose of the webinar is to unpack the economic recovery support interventions announced by the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition, Mr Ebrahim Patel. The R3.75 billion package is for the restoration of businesses adversely affected during the violent looting and unrests that took place in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng last month. 

the dtic, its Development Finance Institutions, the National Empowerment Fund (NEF) and  & Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), as well as the Small Enterprise Finance Agency  (Sefa), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), and other government agencies will adddress and unpack the recovery support and its application process throughly. In this webinar, affected businesses will learn more about the requirements to apply for funding, processes to apply, where to send applications including the time-lines to approve and process applications.
