With a steadfast commitment to foster seamless business-to-business (B2B) transactions, promote collaboration, and drive innovation, newly launched e-commerce platform Zandaux hopes to be a transformative force in the region's dynamic trade landscape.

Speaking at the South African launch, Zandaux chief technology officer Dennis Reumer said while Africa had many riches, it had not been able to access the economic market to a similar degree as many of the economic zone’s regions are able.

Zandaux hopes to redefine African business connectivity and the African B2B e-commerce sector by launching its multi-vendor platform in South Africa, following successful debuts in Kenya and Nigeria in January.

Zandaux has been in existence since 2020 and has more than 15 000 products listed on the platform and close to 1 000 merchants from the four countries it operates from.

Reumer highlighted that Zandaux had been working hard to give tools and power to anyone joining its platform so that they could have access to the full market in Africa.

Zandaux allows the now over 1 000 manufacturers and suppliers across Africa that have joined to sell to their clients inside and outside of country borders as well as giving the seller and buyers the ability to communicate with one another.

Later this month Zandaux will launch in Egypt.

Zandaux CEO Franck Obambi Ngatse noted that the platform, which had a One Africa-One Market approach, had earned widespread acclaim for its intuitive interface, robust features, and dedication to fostering a vibrant business ecosystem, earning the trust of businesses across Africa.

“The platform is designed to accommodate small and large businesses. Our African market is made of 70% small businesses, these businesses often do not have the budget to reach the target audience. With Zandaux, businesses are able to reach markets they may not have been able to reach without an e-commerce platform focused on connecting businesses” added Ngatse.

He highlighted that the B2B E-commerce platform was designed to empower businesses across Africa and achieve the company’s mission to help one-billion people rise above poverty.

“It is in this spirit of innovation and market creation that Zandaux operates. They recognise that combating poverty in Africa requires more than just addressing immediate needs; it demands a fundamental reshaping of the economic landscape. Through their platform, they are empowering businesses of all sizes to connect, collaborate, and thrive, thereby laying the foundation for sustained economic growth and prosperity across the continent,” explained Maloba Consulting founder Daniel Maloba.

He noted that Africa had immense opportunities and was rich in resources, talent and untapped potential, yet insufficient supply chains and a lack of access to market had hindered the growth and development of businesses across the continent.

He believes the tide is turning, explaining that the future of B2B e-commence in Africa, guided by Zandaux’s slogan holds great promise.

He said platforms such as Zandaux were revolutionising the way businesses connect, collaborate and trade, breaking down traditional barriers and opening up new opportunities for growth and expansion.

One of the key drivers of this transformation is the increasing connectivity and digitalisation of African economies. Maloba highlighted that with the widespread adoption of mobile technology and the Internet, businesses now have unprecedented access to markets and customers regardless of their location.
