To introduce extra-ordinary measures so as to combat organised crime and criminal gang activities; to prohibit certain activities relating to organisations that have committed certain serious offences; to provide for the civil forfeiture of criminal
assets that have been used to commit an offence or assets that are the proceeds of crime; to provide for the establishment of the Criminal Assets Recovery Fund in order to render financial assistance to law enforcementagencies with a view to
combat organised crime; to criminalise certain activities associated with gangs; to amend the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, 1992; to amend the Proceeds of Crime Act, 1996; to amend the International Co-operation in Criminal Matters Act, 1996; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
