Emergency Services have concluded the search and rescue operation after a section of the roof, which was undergoing maintenance at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, caved in on Thursday.
Five patients were treated and discharged, none of the affected patients required emergency operation or admission.
After a successful search operation, nobody was found to be trapped under the rubble.
The site has been cleared and the final mop-up operation is underway. All contingency plans have been put into place to ensure that the day-to-day hospital operations are not disrupted.
The Gauteng Provincial Government and the National Department of Health would like to thank all the dedicated men and women who ensured that no life was lost.
Gauteng Health MEC Dr Gwen Ramokgopa will tomorrow visit the hospital and provide further updates.
