The DA in the Western Cape is proud to announce that Jeremy Fasser has been elected as the new Executive Mayor of the Stellenbosch Municipality, during a Special Council meeting today.
Jeremy has always served the people of Stellenbosch with dedication and humility in his roles as Deputy Mayor and as Ward 17 Councillor.
Under DA governance, Stellenbosch has shown commitment to excellent service delivery and good, clean governance. For eight consecutive years, Stellenbosch Municipality has been awarded clean audits by the Auditor General of South Africa - and we are confident that, under Jeremy's leadership, the municipality will continue on its trajectory to even greater heights.
The DA conveys heartfelt thanks to outgoing mayor Gesie van Deventer for her dedicated and tireless commitment to serving Stellenbosch residents. We wish Gesie a joyful retirement.
