Tomorrow, 22 November 2023, the Democratic Alliance (DA) in Nelson Mandela Bay will hold a press conference to present a plan to keep residents and tourist safe from violent crime over the summer season.
The press conference will take place at the Hobie Beach Lifesaving Club and will be led by DA NMB Caucus Leader, Cllr Retief Odendaal, DA NMB Spokesperson for Economic Development and Tourism, Cllr Renaldo Gouws, DA NMB Spokesperson for Safety and Security, Cllr Gustav Rautenbach, and DA NMB Spokesperson for SRAC, Cllr Sebenzile Rafani.
The summer season is on our doorstep and the Metro’s beachfront, which is the biggest draw card for tourist to visit Nelson Mandela Bay, has never been more dangerous.
Tourism over the festive season is one of Nelson Mandela Bay’s biggest generators of income, but the ANC/EFF/NA/PA coalition government is failing miserably in putting any safety plans in place for residents and tourists.
The DA will not falter in its fight to rescue Nelson Mandela Bay from the violent criminals that are holding the Metro to ransom.
Details of the event are:
