Tomorrow, Tuesday, 21 September 2021, DA Federal Leader, John Steenhuisen MP, DA Ekurhuleni Mayoral Candidate Refiloe Nt’sekhe MPL and DA Shadow Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Kevin Mileham MP will address residents of Ekurhuleni regarding the systematic collapse of services in Ekurhuleni.

Residents of Ekurhuleni face electricity outages on a daily basis, crippling the economy of the metro.

Poor stock controls in the Metros Energy Department, vacant funded technical positions in the department, ageing infrastructure and a lack of regular maintenance have brought the Metro to its knees, while the incumbent ANC-led administration sit by idly while the municipality faces systemic collapse.

With a 39% unemployment rate in Ekurhuleni, it is crucial that the energy grid is secure to ensure that the economy of the municipality thrives and an environment for job creation and investment is created.

Members of the media are invited and there will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.

Details of the event are:

Time: 10:00 am

Address: Kelvin Estate Hall, Starling St, Spartan, Ekurhuleni
