ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Brigadier General (Dr) Peter Sereko has had a distinguished career in the South African Army. He is the founding General Officer Commanding of the Light Modern Brigade and was the first Black former SADF Commandant of the South African National Defence College.
Antonio Garcia is a former officer in the South African Army, now a civil servant and part-time lecturer with the Open University. His research focuses on military history, biography and strategy. Garcia is the author of Botha, Smuts and the First World War (2025) with Ian van der Waag.
