Following lengthy negotiations, the Democratic Alliance, ActionSA, Freedom Front Plus, Inkatha Freedom Party, African Christian Democratic Party and the Congress of the People concluded a coalition agreement that has successfully established multiparty governments in various municipalities, including the Metropolitan Municipalities of Tshwane, Johannesburg, and Ekurhuleni.
Members of the media are invited to attend the official signing of the coalition agreement by leaders of the political parties involved on 15 December 2021.
