The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate is currently shutting down the Tygerberg Reservoir for an assessment of the water supply infrastructure. This will result in lower than usual water pressure being experienced in the Bellville South and Bellville area. Read more below:

The water supply to and from the Tygerberg Reservoir has been shut off to enable the technical team to assess the infrastructure at the reservoir. An alternate water supply is being rerouted to the areas supplied by Tygerberg Reservoir. This will result in the temporary reduction of the water pressure in the Bellville South and Bellville area.

Residents in these areas are kindly requested to reduce their water consumption to ensure the provision of a sustainable water supply throughout the network during the assessment period.

The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it maintains its water supply infrastructure to the benefit of its consumers.
