The Kenya office of pre-eminent African law firm, Bowmans, has won the Nairobi Legal Awards (NLAs) Large Law Firm of the Year Award for the second year in a row.

The NLAs honour law firms and legal practitioners in Kenya ‘who showcase quality standards of professionalism and lead the way on the national stage’.

The awards are determined via a transparent and rigorous assessment process that includes in-person visits, interviews and the verification of the information provided by the nominees. A jury of independent legal professionals determines the winners.

According to a report by Euromonitor International, in the next 15 years, the East African region is predicted to record faster economic growth than the entire sub-Saharan Africa region. In addition, Trading Economics has reported that foreign direct investment in Kenya will reach around KES 51 000-million (around USD 394-million) in 2025, facilitated by economic reforms, infrastructure development and renewed investor interest in the energy, technology and agricultural sectors, amongst others.

Bowmans Kenya is one of the most highly regarded law firms in the country and operates as a hub with Bowmans’ other East African offices, assisting clients in Eastern and Central Africa. It was the first on-the-ground Bowmans office in the region and has formed the foundation of Bowmans’ further growth on the continent.

Kenya Managing Partner, Paras Shah, says, ‘It is immensely rewarding to be acknowledged for the work we’re doing to help our clients to unlock exciting, sustainable opportunities that have real impact across the continent. We thank our clients for trusting us to assist them. Thanks also to the Nairobi Legal Awards for recognising Bowmans’ contribution to the East African legal sector. We are delighted to celebrate alongside this prestigious group of winners and nominees.’
