Leading African law firm, Bowmans, today announced that it has won a coveted Brandon Hall Group Gold Award for excellence in diversity, equity and inclusion.
The firm received the Best Learning Program that Supports and Promotes Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award for its human-centric diversity and inclusion (D&I) architecture. Bowmans also received a Bronze Award in the same category for the conscious inclusion change management (CCCM) programme that it used to implement the architecture.
Lee-Ann Greyling, head of Organisational Effectiveness at Bowmans, says: ‘We are thrilled to have been recognised by Brandon Hall Group. Receiving two medals - a gold and a bronze - in an international award process spanning industries and countries, proves that our people processes can compete in the global arena.’
Entries were evaluated by a panel of independent industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon their fit for purpose, as well as programme design, functionality, innovation and overall measurable benefits.
Greyling explains that the winning D&I architecture was co-created by a forum representing all employees across all levels of the firm. The CCCM programme was subsequently developed in partnership with BTS, an international talent assessment and development organisation. The CCCM programme was launched in November 2019 and is ongoing, continuing uninterrupted despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Brandon Hall Group, COO and leader of the HCM Excellence Awards Program, Rachel Cooke, the Excellence Awards ‘provide much-needed and well-deserved recognition to organizations that went above and beyond to support their stakeholders during the unprecedented disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards provide validation of best practices in all areas of HCM at a time when they have never been more important to employers, employees and customers.’
Talent partner, Tammy Beira, concludes, ‘At Bowmans we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. We are committed to attracting, developing and retaining the best people, and to creating an inclusive environment which empowers them to reach their full potential.’
