ATNS hosted the Republique De Cote D’Voire Minister of Transport, Mr Amadou Kone, at its world-renowned Aviation Training Academy (ATA), near OR Tambo International Airport, this week. Mr Kone’s entourage included the Ambassade de Cote D’Voire in South Africa, His Excellency, Mr Sem K. Amos Djadan.

Welcoming the Minister at the ATA, Mr Isaac Nkama, ATNS Board Member said there is nothing stopping African countries from cooperating with each other - in any manner possible, including but not limited to Aviation. “It is all in our hand” said Mr Nkama.

In his main address to ATNS representatives, who included the Acting CEO, Dr Sandile Malinga, ATA Principal Tendani Ndou and several other senior executives, Minister Kone said he was humbled by the kind of reception he received from his hosts. Speaking in French, with his interpreter at hand he said “a relationship built and cemented in goodwill will endure any challenges and is sustainable”.

During his stay in South Africa Minister Kone held meetings with the South African Minister of Transport, Mr Joe Maswanganyi and CEOs of several entities of the Department of Transport.
