The African Transformation Movement North West notes and welcome the decision for the disbandment of Mamusa Local Municipality.

However, our view that the disbandment shouldn't only affect Mamusa Local Municipality. ATM North-West is of the view that most municipalities in the North West Province are failing dismally to execute their constitutional obligation of delivering services to residents. It is our view as ATM North West that the North West Provincial government was supposed to have been collapsed because, despite the fact that general elections were held this year, government is still dysfunctional.

It's public knowledge that some government departments such as Health and Arts, have since been in coma, even after the most recent general elections, and that can be attributed to corruption, maladministration and irregular use of public funds.

African Transformation Movement North West Province still maintain that the governing party has failed people of Bokone Bophirima and there's no sign of change for as long as they are still in charge.

ATM North West therefore takes this opportunity to announce its intentions to contest all the wards at Mamusa Local Municipality. Our well-lubricated electioneering machinery is already on the ground. The Transformation Agenda begins in Mamusa.

As part of our many commitments that we are making to those who'd be keen to know what we are bringing to the table, we are going to advocate for ring-fencing of the Microeconomic space. It's our conviction that our people's lives can only improve if township and inner city economy was to be reserved 100% to the citizens of this country.

This is the transformation agenda.
