The ANC Youth League welcomes the announced Cabinet of the Republic of South Africa. We find this Cabinet to be well-structured and have a sizable number of committed workaholics who will help the President in full-filling the commitments we have made while campaigning in the 2014 National and Provincial Elections. As the ANC Youth League, we have full confidence in all these men and women who now form our country’s National Executive.

We as, the ANC Youth League, hereby congratulate our leaders in the Congress Movement youth structures for being trusted with highest responsibilities in the organs of the State. We note many former ANC Youth Leaguers but the more noteworthy ones are those who still serve like the ANC Youth League’s National Task Team members-: Mzwandile Masina, David Mahlobo, Mcebisi Skwatsha and the YCLSA’s National Secretary, Buti Manamela. We congratulate these exemplary leaders and wish them well in the execution of their responsibilities.

We fully welcome the announced prerogative of Comrade President and we find it coming closer to the national reflection of our youthful nation. We would like to see an increase on the reflection of youth in the prominent State decision making bodies and in the future National Executive.

As young people of the ANC, we are going to be the custodians of implementation of the 2014 ANC Elections Manifesto. We will be the first ones to report an illegal happening or corruption. We also intend to reconfigure our Branch ExecutiveCommittees’ to, amongst the Constitutionally established portfolios, have a person charged with service delivery monitoring so that weekly the Branch get to discuss gaps and progress on expected deliverables.

We expect no reshuffling in a fore-seeable future, for the President chose well.
